Overlooking the Baltic Sea, Dzwirzyno is a picturesque seaside village in Poland’s far north. It’s fronted by a spectacular stretch of sand and backed by a large lake that provides a setting for birdwatching and water sports.
Sprawling south-west of Dzwirzyno is Resko Przymorskie, which is separated from the Baltic Sea by a thin spit. The lake provides a breeding ground for water birds such as greylag geese, as well as being a migration stopover point for tinbills. Resko Przymorskie is also a renowned windsurfing and kitesurfing destination and ringed by the Baltic Bicycle Trail.
For a day on the sand, head to Plaża Dzwirzyno, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the Baltic Sea. You can swim in the refreshing waters or enjoy long strolls along the sand, with drinks and snacks available at the beachfront Summer Lemoniada Club.
Getting there
Dzwirzyno is around 45 minutes’ drive from Koszalin and 1.5 hours drive from Szczecin. Solidarity Szczecin–Goleniow Airport is just over an hour away and has flights to destinations across Europe. Buses travel to Dzwirzyno and the village is small enough to explore on foot.
