Take a trip to Alcudia Market, one of the oldest markets on Majorca. Situated behind the historic walls of Alcudia’s old town, the decorated cobblestone streets provide a selection of street stalls. After shopping, settle down for some tapas and wine at Sa Vermuteria.

While in Alcudia Market, explore the city’s ancient Roman ruins. Founded in 123 BC, Pollentia was the most important Roman city in the Balearics. Explore the theatre, forum and residential area that once existed here. You can also browse the catalogued artefacts on exhibit at the nearby Pollentia Monographic Museum.

Journey across Majorca on the Island Tour. This popular tour takes you on a winding venture through tropical mountains by bus, boat and a 100-year-old wooden train. Not only will you have a chance to explore Alcudia, but you’ll have time to explore the towns of Sa Calobra and Puerto Soller.

Want to escape the crowds? Visit Es Coll Baix Beach, a stunning Mediterranean cove that’s accessible only by sea. This remote beach is relatively untouched and features brilliant turquoise water, breathtaking cliffs and a soft sandy beach.

Getting around

Arrive at Palma Airport and travel by car or taxi to the centre of Alcudia in around one hour. Within Alcudia, multiple local bus routes provide access to beaches and attractions, while taxis and rental cars offer more flexibility.
