The staff are extremely friendly, hospitable, and helpful. Our room was clean and well kept and the beds were super comfortable. The swimming pool is very large and extremely relaxing. The hotel is very generous with beach/pool towels. You simply get a card and they give you two towels per card and you can turn in and/or check out your towels as often as you need to. There are a few very nice restaurants nearby, but I recommend renting a vehicle and driving all over the island to take advantage of more restaurant offerings. If we visit the Big Island in the future, we will certainly stay at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resource & Spa again! All of the pool attendants went over and beyond. Our waitress, Maria, took excellent care of us. We enjoyed the beach and one day trekked over to the Lava Lava Restaurant and then the Hilton, over rocks and lava, but just a fun adventure at low tide. Remember your wallet in case you want to linger. It's a simple walk back, about .7 miles on the street. The hotel is well located, on a terrific beach, across the street from the Kings Shops, and close to the Queens Marketplace. Relax and enjoy!
