We struggled to find a cheap hotel in San Fran. In fact, we came to the conclusion that cheap hotels in San Fran don't actually exist. But, The Mosser was one of the cheapest OK-looking options we could find, so we booked it and hoped that it wouldn't be too bad. We needn't have worried! Yes, it's old. Yes, it's a bit dated. But our room was perfectly clean, functional and surprisingly quiet. Our room was small, but we were only staying for two nights so it wasn't too much of an issue. We did however, find the bed a little bit too small (it was like a small double), but again, we could put up with it for a couple of nights. Location is brilliant, right near to some of the main cable car lines, stations and right near Union Square. Plenty of cheap food/drink options within a 2-minutes walk including Starbucks, Chipotle etc. Overall, this hotel pleasantly surprised us. We weren't expecting much, but it was fine for a short stay. I would probably come back the next time we come to San Fran!
