We spent five nights at The Maids Head while attending a wedding. The cascading lobbies ending at the pub were nice and afforded plenty of space for friends and family to spend time together. Our room was fair, a bit cramped with all the doors hitting something rather than quite opening all the way. The bathroom was spectacular and well done. There was quite a bit of street noise although this quieted down shortly after midnight. Our room was situated above the ballroom where a wedding party (not ours) was celebrating on a Sunday night (Monday holiday). To say it was loud would be an understatement. The furniture was jumping and the change was audibly vibrating on the bed side table. It ended shortly after midnight. So if you get a quiet room I'm sure its grand. If not don't plan on an early bed time. The hotel is perfectly located and the staff are very professional. If I were to return I would probably stay again but would insist on choosing my room location. Breakfast is immense! buffet style full English plus continental with lovely fresh croissants. Very friendly and helpful on reception. There is a lovely Indian restaurant just across the road. The room had a seating area and was spacious.
