    Good Hotel

I think the cost is a little bit higher than fair. I have not a good impression of the reception on the first day. But it becomes better during my stay. Sometimes the hotel promotes parties in the roof that could bother guests with children. The hotel was fine. The room is spacious and comfortable. They are all clean and the staff are very helpful. It's a thumbs up for me.

    Great Place To Stay

The Porto Vista is conveniently located in Little Italy in downtown San Diego and is easily within walking distance of all the harbor venues, restaurants and the Mercato Farmers Market on Saturday. We had the Euro Queen and although small, it was very efficient. We especially liked the new wall-mount air conditioning system they'd installed which kept our room very cool and was very quiet. They do charge $25 per day for parking, although street parking and other garages are available if you're patient enough to drive around. Their restaurant is a beautiful venue but be sure if you're there for happy hour that you actually select happy hour beverages. Maid service was great on weekdays, but a little less than perfect over the holiday weekend. The staff, however, is top notch and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Seriously, you can't beat the location, and their service is individual and high quality. I would recommend this hotel as one of the better ones that we have stayed in when visiting San Diego. No one has a better staff than Porto Vista. They even text you to see if you need anything. Great work Porto Vista.

    Simply Cool

In the heart of Little Italy, America's best neighborhood, is a wonderful, full-service boutique hotel. Porto Vista has amazing views of the city and the harbor where a West-facing view of sunsets are some of the best anywhere. Clean, cute little balconies, many with a view of the harbor. Great location, go to the Famer's Market on Saturday mornings, you'll love it! Cool place. Went for a rooftop Ripassi wedding where the views were even more incredible and the food was simply exquisite in preparation and execution! Then down one floor to the Glass Door Bar/restaurant to have a drink on the outdoor patio to watch the crowds below, the city lights and the boats on the water. It's not a branded hotel, which makes it perfect in this eclectic village in San Diego.
