Relaxation to the max this summer break from the hustle of city life. We chose Plantation Bay Resort and Spa this time to chill. No regrets according to my family of four with two teenagers. Its quiet , clean, and reasonably priced. Rooms are spacious, comfortable bed, small bathtub inside bathroom is relaxing. The resort makes use of indigenous local materials for their rooms, and we like that. My children enjoyed the clean lagoons and swimming pools to the max. they used the paddle boards too. they had fun working out their muscles in the gym. they also used the free bikes around the resort. Archery and the wall climbing they spent some time and we parents happily paid for their 'once in a lifetime' firing range experience. yes the young ones did all those activities, while the older ones (us) enjoyed a truly soothing massage at their Mogambo Spa. My children loved eating the Powerhouse Burger at Route 66 Diner. We loved the ambiance at Palermo- we loved the gambas (with wine) and generally their pasta is not bad. Although i personally found their Pappardelle and Ravioli Al Granchio salty. My family as a whole loved eating at Fiji. We all loved the huge prawns tempura, the sushi and sashimi and the ice cream, unforgettable dining experience. As for the buffet and themed breakfast, we normally dont eat breakfast so we skipped those we ordered room service a couple of times and the service was prompt and food delicious and warm. We also were not attracted to the themed dinner buffet. We observed that mostly the tour groups joined those dinner buffets with entertainment galore. Oh yes, we saw a 'black lechon' being roasted. That is truly unique and the first time I saw a black lechon. The truly warm, sincere, and friendly hospitality among the waiters and restaurant staff, housekeeping staff, front desk staff, and the sports and recreation staff, made us feel welcome. We truly appreciate that since that makes Plantation Bay truly a five-star resort.
