Parkhotel Sonnenhof Hotel

Slightly elevated, overlooking Vaduz and its castle as well as the Alpstein, stands the newly renovated Park Hotel Sonnenhof. In addition to individual theme suites, the hotel seduces its restaurant guests with a Michelin star, three Gault Millau toques and - with an eagle's nest! Highly Recommended! The hotel is located in a wonderful garden with mature trees above Vaduz, overlooking the castle of the Prince. The outdoor area with wooden veranda and lounge area is modern and inviting. The dining room with its flowery curtains and furniture and carpets in yellow and red, however, no longer up-to-date. What comes from the kitchen, however, deserves the highest praise and was first-class except for the dessert. The service was a bit inattentive and at times uncoordinated. The wine recommendation of the sommelier was competent and consistent. The presence and warmth of the host family were also a highlight. The rooms are modern, the bathrooms unfortunately very small and gone forgotten in the renovation. All in all a wonderful stay.

The lodging is fabulous, exclusive, and the kitchen may be a dream, rooms are superb, it is very modern and comfortable environment at the same time. The area is brilliant with a view of Vaduz Castle. The staff and the director of the hotel are all exceptionally extraordinary and inviting. We'll certainly go back to this inviting lodging and will certainly suggest this lodging to everybody.

I stayed here for one night while vacationing in Europe. This is a beautiful property, perched on the hillside overlooking Vaduz. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Upon arrival, I learned that I had been upgraded to a suite. The suite was quite spacious and very comfortable and included a small patio. My room rate included breakfast. Breakfast offerings included those typical of a continental breakfast. However, hot items (eggs and bacon) are available on order. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the center of Vaduz. Be warned though - part of the walk into town is down a hill that is quite steep, which means that you may be huffing and puffing (I was) on the walk back. I had arrived in Vaduz from Zurich. To get to Vaduz from Zurich, I took the train to the small town of Buchs in Switzerland. From Buchs, you can get a bus or taxi to Vaduz. I opted for a taxi. I am glad I did, as it took me straight to my hotel. I am not sure where the bus drops you off in Vaduz, but I suspect that it is not at the door of the hotel. Thus, taking a bus probably meant a climb up hilly streets to the hotel (or a taxi). Great hotel. Would not hesitate to stay here again if in Vaduz. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving the guest the great service that you provide.
