The Kempinski Hotel is a luxurious hotel in the capital city of Mongolia. The staff are outstandingly friendly, from front desk to housekeeping and wait staff. Front desk can exchange USD for Mongolia money at a rate competitive with banks. There is also an ATM just a short walk from the lobby. The amenities are also fabulous within the rooms ranging from an array of personal care items, bathrobes and slippers, complimentary shoe shine, and even a heated toilet seat. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable with individual AC/Heat controls. A full coffee and tea service is provided along with a mini-bar with reasonably priced refreshments. The bath included a walk in shower and full tub accompanied by very large and soft bath towels. The KK bar offers a full bar menu and the local Cranberry Crush special became a quick favorite. The hotel offers a full breakfast buffet with a variety of choices incorporating both Asian and Western flavors, along with an egg/omelette chef. There are 3 restaurants in hotel offering a wide variety to include Japanese. The main dinner menu had large selection of entrees and sandwiches and the smoked chicken quesadilla was a favorite. Laundry service was impeccable with the clothes delivered individually wrapped in tissue paper and shirt collars with cardboard inserts. Wished I could stay longer.
