    Such A Lovely Hotel

I was a little apprehensive about my trip here as I was travelling alone for four days. I wanted to treat myself and all I wanted was a nice peaceful, relaxing holiday in luxury and this hotel pretty much delivered. The room was lovely but I didn't get a sea view as I wanted and when I went to the desk, they upgraded me free of charge (normally £30) to a sea view room. I can't remember the managers name but anytime I went to the front desk he was always happy to help and no request was too much. I would advise anyone who travels here to book in to the spa for treatments. I booked in for the Hammam experience which involved a steam room and then a full body scrub followed by a full body massage, the whole thing was just amazing and left my skin with a glow to die for. I am a very picky eater and although I went all inclusive and there was a lot of variety, everyday I only ate chips as the food was just not for me. I would advise anybody who is a picky eater to not go all inclusive here as I really didn't take full advantage it all. The shop downstairs let me take things that I needed and trusted me to come back and pay for them later as I only had my bank card which they could not accept but they were ever so friendly and the man helped me pick out everything that I needed. I have marked the location down as when I went to the bank, the walk showed that around the hotel was quite a deprived area and not somewhere you would want to just wander alone after dark. All in all I had a fantastic time, the staff were amazing, the rooms were lovely and the beach was well kept, I would definitely return here for a break again. Thank you so much.

    Excellent Vacation Spot!

The hotel is very well located, right next to the sea and the beach, and was totally worth the trip from the airport. It is very well preserved, always clean, both in the common areas as in the rooms. The common areas are decorated to the location, beautiful marble floors and awesome majestic lobby. The rooms are wide, bright and comfortable, with cozy furniture and balconies. The view is great, either you're facing the sea or the city. The pools are also great, two infinity pools running to another central pool, give the right temperature to the water. They are big enough for all and have a bar right next to it. The beach is also good, nice extension and with shadows and beds/chairs for everyone. Always a lifeguard and someone to help with the chairs. Also there are always security guards around, so you feel very safe. The is a lot of variety on the buffet restaurant, and every day/night there is a different local dish available to taste, which is a lovely touch. You have a theme restaurant that has a choice of Italian and Tunisian food. The staff is friendly and very helpful with no exception. You never feel they are looking for tips. From the reception to the cleaning ladies, all would always have an hello and a smile for us. Obviously the animation team is also no exception and I have to say that the hotel would not be same without them. It's not so common to leave an hotel after one week, and feel like you leave part of your family behind. We will definitely come back.

Great hotel in a great town!

After spending one night at Phenix de Mahdia, we had to look for another hotel and Royal El Mansour was the closest hotel to us. The taxi driver told us it's the most expensive hotel in Mahdia but it's worth it so we followed his recommendation. He was right! Royal El Mansour had everything we looked for in our hotel. Amazing indoor and outdoor pools with 5-star rooms and service. The hotel was very close to the historic locations we wanted to visit so we walked on foot. It was also very close to the beach and we had space already reserved for us. The food was amazing and we enjoyed the Tunisian cuisine and all the meals we got served. Nothing! There wasn't a thing we wanted but couldn't find.
