Already my stay was on a very positive note and I couldn't wait to get to my room to fall asleep again. Upon arriving, the valet took my car and offered me help with my luggage. Their uniforms reminded me of door men on the Upper East Side. I've always said that Chicago is just a smaller version of Manhattan. The lobby was warm and inviting. It had a high end contemporary feel with a lot of leather, natural stone, and wood decor. The attendant checking me in was personable while maintaining a very professional tone. The room was quite exceptional with tasteful decor and soft wood furniture. The room was on a high floor and had a large view of the city with soft window seating below. It had a big desk where I had all my meals. The bathroom had an oversize tub, separate stand up shower and separate toilet area. I actually walked over to the Lush a couple blocks away so I could pick up some bath melts because that bath tub was every bath man's dream. The bath tub had wooden shutters that opened into the main room where you could soak in a warm bath and watch a movie. Each room came with its own iPad where you could order 24 hour room service, schedule spa appointments, or even get information on the surrounding Magnificent Mile area. I ordered room service multiple times during my stay and I have to say the food from the No-MI kitchen was some of the best food I have EVER had. The food was the cherry on top of this stay. Best of all, right next to my comfortable bed were controls to black out my room so I could sleep into the afternoon. The hotel was in a prime area of Chicago called Magnificent Mile where there is a lot of things within walking distance. Overall, these accommodation were everything I was looking for in a high end luxury hotel and can say this establishment has incredibly high standards. This was one of my most memorable hotel stays and will definitely be back!
