    Centrally Located Hotel

I booked this hotel because of many good reviews. The hotel was centrally located meaning you can walk easily to many tourist destinations. Nearest station was Kamppi, if you are with 2 big baggage just like ours better to take Metro and get down at Kamppi station rather than walk from Central Station. At first we find it difficult to find the hotel but after we found it. It's really located centrally. We arrived around 6pm and checking in was easy. When we enter the room they prepare something for my husband birthday. A box of chocolate and a greeting card which we truly appreciated. Our room was nice we have adequate space. Toiletries were adequate, however, i'm not an avid fan of aromatherapy scent all the toiletries smell like that. Our room was cleaned everyday which I find really comforting after a tiring day of touring around the city. There's a coffee/tea maker in the room which I find really comforting to have especially in the freezing weather. We're not lucky to have a good weather during our 4 days stay. It's raining for 3 days and only 1 day we experience good weather. If you're in Helsinki better to include in your itinerary a day tour in Tallinn. We took Viking line and paid 36 euros round-trip for 2 people. It takes about 2 1/2 hour sailing. The hotel was very nearby a Kebab/Palafel restaurant and a bar. You must try it, Rock Church was also nearby 3 minutes walk and Kamppi mall is about 2 minutes walk. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. With regards to their breakfast, it's adequate, but still needs a lot of improvement. I suggest that maybe they can change or add a little more on the warm menu so that those who stayed for 4-7 days will not eat the same breakfast everyday. If you will ask if we're going to stay again in this hotel. Yes, we're going to stay there again when we come back in Helsinki. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.

    Lovely Stay!

The service was very personable from the front desk staff to the bar staff. Breakfast was excellent. Nice variety. Room was on the second facing the alley and it was quiet. The room was clean and nicely furnished. Bed was comfortable. I thought that I had read that the rooms were being renovated but ours was looking a bit tired and worn on the floor, walls and door frames. Perhaps it is yet to be done? My biggest issue was the musty smell from the bathroom particularly if the door was kept closed. Perhaps the door was from the traps/drains. Also the room had no safe which would have been nice. Overall I realize that Helsinki is expensive so $200 a night was not bad. I highly recommended this hotel to my friends and family.

    Poor Services

Hotel's location is very good and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are renovated and cozy. On the other hand the breakfast is limited to the local tastes and thus hard to be pleased if you don't like local cuisine. The corridors have not been renovated and they look old and dirty. The most disappointing fact was that our room was not cleaned daily, something that one would expect from a 4 stars hotel. This was a big problem since we visited Helsinki in the winter, so the floor was wet and dirty from all the melted snow.
