Where to begin? Let's start with the location. Yes, it is near the Eiffel Tower, which is convenient. It is also very near a Metro stop, which is equally convenient. But it's location is more than that: it is quiet, non-touristy. Set on a corner off of two quiet streets, unlike other hotels we saw on our walks through Paris, the Hotel Eiffel Turenne has been blessed by a sense of solitude amidst the heart of Paris. Let's now move to the staff, who rate 10 stars out of 5. Friendly, helpful, ever mindful of us, their guests. Probably due to our poor French, we were given the wrong room key. While the elevator trundled its way up to the 5th floor, the lovely woman at the front desk, realizing the mistake, ran all the way up the stairs with the right key. Who does this? Let's talk about the breakfast. Delicious, wonderful, filling. And, finally, let's talk about the room. Being an American, I am used to BIG. Big space. Big room. Big bed. Somehow, this amazing hotel fit everything into a room a fraction of the size it would have taken in my home country. The room was pristine, absolutely pristine. Trust me, the next time we visit here we hope to be greeted again by Emma and to stay at this delightful hotel.
