    Overall ok

Stay in ground floor and too noisy, no kettle for hot water, but you can take hot water from the bar. Overall OK.

    What a Great Experience

This hotel is close to the Venice bus station and in Venice that's a big plus! In Venice you have to walk the last way to your hotel unless you pay for a private water taxi from the airport to drop you at your hotel dock on The Grand Canal, and this is very expensive. Walking is not an issue just bear in mind you have to walk up and down a few stepped bridges with your luggage depending on your hotels location. (Venice is not really the place to go if you have walking difficulties, walking is the only way apart from the water buses to get around). This Hotel lives up to its name and I've just come back from a three day break. It's clean and the bedrooms are decorated in the old traditional Venetian manner. The breakfast has a very good buffet choice including bacon and scrambled egg for those who like a cooked breakfast. I also had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was of a very high standard of cuisine and service. Opposite the hotel is the water bus center, just below the train station, and from there you can get the water bus to anywhere you choose to visit including a full trip down the Grand Canal, also outside just to the right of the hotel are gondolas if you choose to hire one. So in essence lovely central hotel, close to transport, and well worth considering if you're visiting Venice for the first time.
