Karel V. is centrally located within Utrecht, yet at the same time quiet. The park is extremely beautiful and well maintained. The building complex - a former convent and a former hospital - are really impressive and in the best of Façon. The on-site bistro serves excellent and creative cuisine. Everything was great. The actual hotel restaurant was not 'used' for lack of demand. We did not realize if this was a temporary or final condition. The maid could have worked more thoroughly: so-called 'neuralgic' places were overlooked: in the bathroom thick dust layers on lamps and upper shower fittings, under the sink thick, older layers of dust on tiles and processes. The sheets were not taut, the pajamas 'crumpled' or put somewhere.
