Staying at Fairmont Lake Louise should be part of the package when having holiday in Banff and Lake Louise area. With such beautiful and outstanding location, Fairmont Lake Louise will never get bored for their guests. No wonder even during extreme cold Christmas time, the hotel still busy either by hotel guests or tourist who just want to see the legendary hotel and charming Lake Louise. The hotel was as lovely as the view. The staff went above and beyond and the view from the room was exceptional. We spent most of our time in Banff as there is more to do in the area, but we had to stay at the Fairmont Lake Louise and wake up to that epic lake view. For what it's worth, of the Fairmonts in Jasper, Lake Louise, and Banff, we found the Banff hotel to be the best in service, amenities, on site facilities, and things to do in the area. The Fairmont Lake Louise is a must, but perhaps for just a short stay, and the Fairmont Jasper was horrible. It is an outdated motel overrun with screaming children not one place for a quiet or romantic meal or drink. My stay at Fairmont Lake Louise is wonderful because we're treated with friendly reception ladies and speedy check in time. Room is also warm and cozy even though it wasn't that spacious but it has two double beds enough for us with two children. Our room is facing the mountain but still has very good view. All the amenities are first class. Beds is not as comfortable as we expected but still give us good night sleep. Breakfast is buffet style at Alpine Social. This time is better than the dinner we had the night before. Hotel also rent the skating equipment which we didn't try due to extreme cold. They also offer sleigh ride with extra charge.
