    Helpful Staff

We spent two nights here and found this new hotel to be well equipped and very comfortable. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Restaurant food was expensive but excellent. It is perfectly located for seeing the center of the city. Easy walking distance to Acropolis and all central sites. It has a wonderful 10th floor roof garden with a pool, restaurant and bar that has a stunning view of Athens and the Acropolis. The decor felt like we were in a boutique hotel, and the marble bathroom was lovely, an added unexpected bonus was the large shower. Breakfast was comprised of various options, as we sat down every morning, we enjoyed a flawless view of the Acropolis. Staff were friendly, and spoke very good English. Would definitely stay at Electra Metropolis again.

    Best Stay I've Ever Had!

The property is beautiful! Great Rooms, wonderful view of the Acropolis especially from the rooftop restaurant (Food is top scale as well). It's located within easy walking distance of so much history and the shopping district of 'Old Athens'. What set this place apart from any other I have ever stayed though is it's staff! About 4 am, I knew I needed a Doctor and I called the front desk. They had a Doctor in my room by 7 am! I ended up being confined to my room for a couple days and was instructed I could't travel for five days. The staff treated me like I was the only person in the hotel! Extended my stay no problem though the hotel seemed full. They called and checked on me and regularly sent people to look in on me. Brought food to my room, even went to the pharmacy and picked up my medicine! Another thing that surprised me was when I checked out! There were NOT any extra charges for all that special treatment! So many were so good to me I wish I could give all them credit here. There is Antonio and Maria at the rooftop restaurant who always made sure I had a big glass of Orange Juice free with breakfast because 'you have been sick' (By the way, huge breakfast is included in the room price but not Orange Juice). There is one young man I will never forget. Steve Basa, or I came to call him, 'Mother'. He works at the lobby desk. He always knew the forecast. If he didn't think I was dressed for the weather he would flag me down and tell me. I once ask him why everyone was being so good to me and he explained the Greek term 'Philoxenia' to me. 'Kindness to strangers'. He and the others I encountered at the Metropolis certainly lived up to that philosophy! Words can only say so much. Pictures a bit more. Some things you just have to experience. But I know where I'm staying next time I'm in Athens. Thank you very much for taking care of me!
