Staff were very nice and really helpful - five stars for them. Clean and tidy, conveniently located. However the room just didn’t feel quite as warm and cosy as in photos. Perhaps it’s the bright white ceiling light. Note we had stayed at other ryokans which felt more warm-ish and cosy. Also the red carpet in corridors looked a bit odd instead of just timber flooring - personal opinion though. The building also seemed noisier than other ryokans we had stayed. Every step in the hallway and closing door was unavoidably loud, however soft we tried to be. Suggest consider noise reduction strips for the doors. A bit disappointed they weren’t sliding doors too. Included breakfast was ok for those who don’t want to pay a bit more for much better food or Japanese style breakfast. The way it was ‘served’ (nicely pre-packed in a paper bag, you pick it up from cold storage at their cafe) was neat and efficient, but not quite the experience we expected for the price tag.
