We stayed in three different rooms during our stay (multiple last minute changes and extensions due to travel delays). The hotel has been recently refurbished throughout, so is very modern and in excellent condition. Our welcome was perfectly pleasant and efficient, the staff are truly lovely. My Mum's first room was absolutely gorgeous street facing, lots of light, multiple balconies. My first room wasn't so great as it was a Smoking room thick dull air, ashtrays everywhere and filled with a stench that could not be aired. Windows opened to internal atrium, so there was no breeze. We ended our stay in a large twin share, it was fine although 'off the beaten track' with a view of the local neighbor's back yard laundries out the window. The air conditioning was malfunctioning, so it was constantly freezing cold in the room, even when adjusted to 25deg. A staff member brought us extra blankets for the second night and helped us disable it entirely, which was better than freezing. Breakfast each morning was fabulous. A fantastic spread in a newly finished setting with generous time frames and absolutely wonderful staff. We were warmly greeted each day and everything was super organised. 5pm tapas and refreshments in the bar every evening (complimentary) was much appreciated - the bartender was great and my Mum really looked forward to her cup of tea and nibbles in the courtyard, so we made it a daily occurrence. There's an indoor area with a sports tv for those who don't want to miss 'the game', but the courtyard tables were our favorite. The location is excellent, an easy walk from everything you need and a train station nearby. Staff will always help you get a taxi if needed. We loved our stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it, we'd happily return.
