The room was amazing! Huge 4-poster bed, and we even had the use of an upstairs TV room/dining room, accessed from a staircase in our bedroom. In short, it is a fascinating, quirky old building, with a maze of corridors and staircases. Some people would probably describe it as shabby, and access may be difficult if you are disabled, but we loved our stay here and were made to feel very welcome by the charming manager and his son.
