Atana Musandam Resort

I have stayed several times at this hotel and always have a lovely time. It is a good and relevant hotel for Musandam. It is the only hotel I choose to stay in on each of my visits to the region. The main reasons I stay here is for the fact it is just outside of town. So completely quiet at night with no disturbing town lights. But more importantly - the staff. I always feel welcome when I come back. The front office team is great. This time I met in Front Office a lovely lady, Mudhi, who so very much surprised me by doing something so small but from the heart. She completely wowed me with her thoughtful and truly genuine hospitality. Thank you Mudhi and to the whole Atana Khasab team!

Someone has taken a lot of trouble to design tastefully this hotel, lending it lots of local flavors. The lovely little infinity pool overlooks the creek, with the mountains as a backdrop, the water surrounded by banana trees and flowers. The room was lovely, with a balcony which looks across to the sheer rocky mountain. There is a surprising amount of birding, broken only by the sound of an occasional small outboard engine boat traveling down the creek. At night, even the parking area in front of the hotel looks lovely, lit up with lots of small colored LED's. The receptionists were very friendly. The only problem was the shower head was loose and sprayed water everywhere except where it should, and the water was only lukewarm. Breakfast was limited because of the lack of guests and of very average quality. I would definitely stay here again, despite the small shortcomings.
