We stayed for 4 nights in at the end of June. When we booked our trip, I didn’t realize it was rainy season. Fortunately, we had sunny weather every day except for the last day where it poured all morning. My husband and I have traveled to beaches all over the world. Seychelles, Hawaii, Caribbean, Mexico, Europe and we can confidently say this was the best island we have been to. The water is so clear and turquoise blue and the sand is the softest white powder. It was our first time staying at an Aman property. From the moment you arrive to the airport lounge, the staff greets you be name. The service was excellent and the staff was very responsive. I organized a private birthday dinner on the beach for my husband’s birthday and a snorkel trip with lunch at the Sandbar all remotely, and all the details were taken care of prior to arrival. I was pleasantly surprised with the live guitar player/singer at our private dinner, truly a memorable experience. We had a few massages at the spa, the masseuses were great. I love that the resort is so private, and you rarely see other guests because the villas are so spread out. We took advantage of all the water sports, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and even rode a Schiller bike for the first time. We saw so many fish and turtles. The rooms are comfortable, large and spacious. When you arrive, they provide complimentary straw beach bags and hats. Each villa has a golf cart to drive around the island, it was so fun. Overall, it took us about 24 hours and 3 planes to reach Amanpulo from NYC, but it was well worth it! We look forward to checking out other Aman properties after our Amanpulo.
