The refurbished room was spacious and clean. The King sized bed and the couch are very nice. Appreciate the powerful speakers in the bathroom very much. Friendly and efficient staff. Except there is no carpark. Recommended.

Checked in on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 26, 2008 at around 4:00 PM. The desk clerk was very inept at processing the reservation. He seemed to need help from his coworker. Two very misinformed employees tell us there is a sign in screen when we connect to the WI FI network that will take our credit card and the charge is 80 Macau every 2 hours. Whoa . . . ok. Well I just wanted to check email and a couple of forums anyway. When we arrive in the room and turn on the computer, this is not the case at all. The screen requires a password and a ID. So my fiancee calls downstairs to find out where to get the password and ID and they say come on down to the lobby, you can get it here at the desk. She gets there and is then sent back upstairs to the business center to purchase a card with an ID and password for the internet system. When we try and plug in the the password/ID back in the room it doesn't work. After 5 tries, we both go downstairs and the man in the business center who described himself as guest relations tells us they have been having these problems with the cards that are provided by a company called CTN or CTM I believe. So instead of giving us another card to try, Mr guest relations decides to get on the phone and call this company and complain. I already knew what their response would be; they proceeded to blame us, the user. After 5 minutes of listening to him go at it with this company, we asked if he could just give us another card so we could go back to our room. We were very tired. He kept saying just one more minute. Now in my opinion, it's not really our business how the hotel handles this situation with CTM/CTN and don't really care. Why take up our valuable time and force us to watch him deal with this!?! After he gets off the phone, he says he has to send the cards back and won't even let us try another one, because CTN/CTM will get angry. He refunded our money and that was it. I was extremely angry at this point. Two other people were online on

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The casino was very minimal. My husband and I had a very nice time at this hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were great as well, they were very accommodating. Due to the great location we were able to walk to most of the tourist attractions and were also able to visit other casinos nearby. We would stay at this hotel again.

free transfer from ferry was very convenient. good location, but hotel was under renovation during my stay so very loud and inconvenient. hotel bar was quite good, breakfast was at additional charge but had good variety.

Hotel has recently been renovated. Room are spacious and beautiful. Service from staff was great. Location is great and everything is within walking distance. Breakfast served many selections of western/chinese food. Restaurant service & food quality was excellent! Thank you for the great service. Highly recommended this hotel!

This Holiday was superb for the money. It has been recently remodeled and is in excellent condition. The rooms where very nice and comfortable. The hotel staff was excellent. The location is in the downtown area. It is very easy to get around from this hotel to most anywhere. The Winn is within walking distance as well. One downside but very minor is that you will have to walk a short distance if you would like to catch a cab without waiting. Otherwise if you are on a budget and would like a great location to call your base while in Macau then the Holiday is ideal for you. Needless to say Macau is very beautiful and full of fun.

Great location, one block from teh Wynn and MGM. Very nice room. Casino was pretty shabby. This is no American Holiday Inn! The lobby is beautiful and gilded, the rooms (in the renovated wing) are modern and comfortable. Service was very good, staff spoke English and helped us with taxis and transport back to the airport (we took the fast ferry directly to and from Hong Kong airport). Aside from sleeping, we didn't spend much time in the hotel, as the nearby casinos like Wynn and MGM are much nicer.

The bed and plenty toiletry. Stain on the carpet and bathroom floor. Its location is ok but I can feel that the hotel is old. Moreover, the casino looks so sad. The bed is good.

Close but not to close to attractions. Clean enough but could have been cleaner. Comfortable and safe. Good location close to casinos and shopping but not right on top of them. Good access to public bus system and Macau Ferry terminal. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Well kept, large rooms, quiet. Money changing was tedious process. No information in room about hotel features like pool, etc. Shuttle bus from the Ferry made for easy access. Although some staff were not great with English, they all attempted to be very helpful. Bed was very comfortable; room commodious with good TV selections and they also had easy cab service.
