Spreads and pillow cases had seal saying they had been washed. The facilities were neat and well tended. The room was stylishly furnished and appeared well tended. All bedding has a seal of being washed removing fears of sharing a previous guest's germs. There is a nice breakfast area with generous and tasty selections. The staff is attractive and attendant. There is good sound insulation between rooms. The hotel is easily accessible to shopping areas and the main thoroughfares.

My sister and I brought both of our boys to UVA's "Days on the Lawn" orientation in April 2008. Our accommodations at Hampton Inn were perfect. Check-in was smooth, snacks were available in the lobby throughout the evening, the rooms were very accommodating including a fridge, sofa and coffee maker, and the beds were some of the best we have ever slept in. The rooms were very clean and we did not hear any other patrons throughout our stay, even though it was a full hotel. When you have hungry boys, a good breakfast is very important. We could not have asked for more. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, tortillas, cold cereal, oatmeal, a wide variety of fruit, several different types of bread, yogurt, juice, coffee, a great tea selection and more. Also, they had pre-bagged breakfasts available if you could not sit down to enjoy a meal. It was awesome. We will definately stay there again (and we will make time to enjoy the pool and exercise room!). Finally, it is conveniently located to many restaurants, a movie cinema, shopping, The University, etc.

The staff, including the person who cleaned up and replenished the breakfast area, were friendly and welcoming. They were knowledgeable about places to eat in the immediate area of the hotel. The location was convenient and parking was easily accessible. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, though somewhat small. However, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room and so this wasn't an issue.

Now I know why all of my Charlottesville friends recommend this hotel. It is clean and very nice. Great bathrooms and bedding. Decor is expensive looking and classy.

The Hampton Inn in Charlottesville was a great experience, & made the weekend a great mini-vacation. My Husband & I went to John Paul Arena and wanted some place close by to stay. The room was VERY CLEAN, comfortable soft firm bed,nice furnture w/ large wall unit/desk,with adequate closet for clothes. Quiet heater/air. Bath room was updated- again very clean. We ask for a non-smoking room and received a non-smoking room. The staff was helpful and graceous. The Breakfast room was clean, food was good. Location was close to shopping & restaurants were plenty to chose from. I would recommend to friends, family, and anyone that is picky. I can't wait to stay there again.

Upon check-in my key did not work. The manager had to let me in my room with his key. However, he called in their maintenance person and he drove over to the hotel and reprogrammed my lock. The problem was solved quickly and I had a working key. I thought the staff was very professional and the room was fantastic. Very nice work area with desk and extremely comfy chair. Lap desk, in-room coffee pot, micro-fridge, and couch with ottoman were nice amenities as well. TV was adequate, although the cable went out the night I was there. I highly recommend you stay at this hotel if you are ever in the Charlottesville area.

The Hampton Inn was very comfortable, the room extremely well designed. Although small, it has all of the amenenties you need to feel very comfortable - especailly the bed, desk and lap desk too. Equipped with a fridge, free wireless internet, a well designed bathroom, and a sofabed with ottaman, the hotel location is very convenient to restaurants, grocery store and many other retail businesses. Will definitely stay there again!!!

I have stayed at the Hampton in in Charlottesville many times. This visit, I received prompt service at check-in and had an extremely comfortable room with incredible amenities.
