What are your breakfast options?
Breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 10:00 am (11:00 am on weekends).
What transport is available to get around?
There is no public transportation in Jasper, however everything is in pretty close proximity. The downtown core with all the shops, grocery stores and other amenities is about six blocks away from the Chateau Jasper. If weather is unsuitable for walking, cabs are easily available and inexpensive for such a short drive. Jasper is quite small and there is really only the downtown core and of course the areas outside of town which you will need a vehicle to get to (i.e. Athabasca Falls, Maligne Lake, etc). The closest airport is in Edmonton which is 3.5 hours away. There are shuttles which will take you to and from the Edmonton International Airport provided by Sundog Tours.
What can I do nearby?
In town, there are a variety of things to see and do close by. In general, summer activities include: guided walks, white-water rafting, tramway, boat-cruise at Maligne Lake, camping, mountain biking, horseback riding. In general, Winter activities include: ice walks in Maligne Canyon, dog-sled tours (just outside of the park), x-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding.
