Corker!Great accommodation within a short driving distance of Cork. The staff were very friendly, and the room quite spacious. The bed was a little soft for my liking, and there was a plastic protective cover over the mattress, which made for a sweaty sleep. The room faced nto the road, and was a little noisy, but did not prevent sleep. The qualty and quantity of food at breakfast was excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying.

Hotel is a bit out of the city on a main road. Very pleasant inside; spacious rooms, car parking etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Would recommend as most appropriate for those with a car.

Good value hotel, easy to find but a little further from the city centre than I expected - probably should have checked but would recommend

I cannot speak highly enough of Belvedere Lodge. I had never been to Cork before, and was relieved to find that it was indeed a central location with a short and direct taxi ride from the train station to the Lodge. We arrived very late at night, and I was worried about this, since it was a B&B rather than a 24hr reception hotel. However the gentleman (I apologise for my memory issues, his name has slipped my mind) who let us in and showed us to our room, was incredibly warm and welcoming. The Lodge is much bigger than it appears from the road, and we were amazed at the beautiful furnishings. The decor is very much that of a gracious country homestead, and is very relaxing. The gardens were gorgeous, and breakfast was very good indeed. I can't believe they do not charge top dollar for such a wonderful place to stay, but sssshhhhh... don't tell the owners that! :) I would absolutely stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone.

Although the building was very nice and well kept i was not impressed with the location. The description says "just minutes from Corks nightlife" when it was 25 minutes walk from Cork (which i didn't fancy through dissused dockland} or a five minute taxi ride, which was 10 euro each way. The guests included workmen who's discussion over breakfast seemed to be about their previous night. They also got breakfast served before us even though they came in the room after us. I would keep the 20 euro and put it towards a hotel that is actually in Cork and save yourself the traveling. We did one night stops while touring Ireland and this B&B was the dearest and the most dissapointing.

In my opinion the hotel over-sells itself. A photograph and hyperbolic description of the place which for me inevitably lead to disappointment on arrival.

We only had breakfast but it was good, there was a varied selection to choose from. The Lodge was about a 10 minute bus ride from the town centre which we liked, away from the hustle of City life. The owners & staff were very friendly & helpful with any questions we asked about getting around.

The route to this hotel is bleak and uninspiring, but once inside the building it's worth the effort!

For someone new to Cork, the Belvedere was difficult to find because the internet instructions worked better for some directions than others. It was a bit far out of the city center so transportation other than walking is required to get into the city. The room was spacious with a double and single bed and included a separate sun room with a sofa bed, perfect for families. The bathroom was fitted with a tub/shower that had the easiest faucet to use ( a big plus for travelers unfamiliar with European plumbing), great water pressure, plenty of hot water, generous amounts of shampoo, bath gel, hand soap and lotion. Breakfast was also generous with several options (which we did not discover until after we had ordered the full Irish breakfast suggested to us by the staff. We saw a menu on another table after the fact). All in all, a good experience and good value. I wish I could post photos of the lovely breakfast room with garden view.

Excellent breakfast but no evening meals were available - althought there is a hotel which does very good food and is only a few minutes walk away. Although my stay here was brief, it was pleasent enough and I would consider staying again.

Don't be put off by the local area, as you drive towards you think \"what have I done\", However once inside you will not regret your choice, friendly welcome, lovely rooms and gardens. Plenty of local restaurants for your evening meal Best Breakfast for a long long time!! Will return for sure

Friendly and VERY helpful staff. Even though this is next to the main road there is little noise in the rooms. Pleasant garden, but watch children near unguarded pond.8 Euro taxi into Cork centre. Hotel will phone you one. Will stay there again.
