The Spanish navigator Bernardo de la Torreon sighted Siargao Island in 1543. It was charted at the time as Palm Island or “Isla de las Palmas”. Today, the island looks much the same, with pure white shores, clear waters, palm trees and forests. Siargao Island is an accessible paradise which welcomes all with open arms to enjoy its natural splendour.
