    Verified Stay

    Nice Hotel

Pros: - Location: close to central park, midtown if staying for business, on 5th if you want to shop -Rooms: Stayed in the Madison Suite, and renovations showed well. Comfortable, somewhat modern while retaining the Beaux arts. - Fresh fruit in the room. -Service: Select butlers provided fantastic service, but it depends on who's working that day. Cons: -Front Desk: Found the reception short staffed - waited at least 5 minutes for someone to show up several times we needed something. Granted late check out but subsequently received a letter asking us to check out in exchange for 3k points. We obliged, but it felt unprofessional. -Valet Parking: They charge by time, not by night -- but they provide no warning as such. Given we showed up early, our parking time exceeded 24 hours, so we were charged the non-prorated $89 for an extra night. I've probably valet'd over 500 hotel nights, and I've never once had that issue.
