We wanted to experience Honolulu without all the craziness and tourists on top of each other. if you want some peace and quiet this is a perfect place for you. The rooms are spacious and feel sane and uncluttered. They come with robes and slippers. There is no bathtub, just a shower. The room had a small microwave and fridge. The lanai was very nice and we were upgraded to an ocean view room due to painting outside our planned diamond head room. There is plenty of ocean to see, but the view is in between buildings. There is no pool, but the ocean is a short walk away. The hotel has a wine happy hour at 4 to 5 and they served some cheese fish also. There was good coffee in the lobby in the morning and an espresso maker in the room. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with dinner recommendations and directions. We walked into the Waikiki area and enjoyed the walk around the shops and for dinner. If you want a full on resort or want to be in the crowded beach this won't be for you, but if you want a Zen place by the hustle and bustle this will make you happy.
