We did not know what to expect at this hotel and certainly did not realise that it was a 'Wine' hotel. My mistake as I should have translated the name of the hotel, Wein and Design. The hotel was very stylish and the reception staff were very nice. We were given a very large room, all the rooms are about the same as it is a boutique hotel with not a lot of rooms. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a wine fridge which was stocked full of wine. Unfortunately there are no facilities to make your own cup of tea or coffee, the reception told us later that we can ask for a coffee and they would make us one and deliver it to our room if required. This request incurs a cost. We had a double room which as per European standards means two single beds pushed together, not very romantic when you get caught or stuck in the gap between the mattresses. The hotel has a wine bar where you can taste and buy wines, obviously. Good comfortable seating is available at the bar and there is a small garden with tables, also very tastefully decorated. Unfortunately during our stay it was very hot and it was cooler to sit indoors. The staff at the bar were very knowledgeable about the wine selection which mainly consisted of a wine supplier of the month and a runner up supplier, there were others to choose from.
