We stayed here for one night during our two week stay in Sri Lanka and this was probably one of the most memorable stays of our lives. It used to be an actual tea factory and the history that lives here is amazing and the service is superb. When we arrived we were treated to refreshing tea and towels and were taken up to our rooms in a very unique elevator. Our room was great and comfortable but it was the experiences we had there that made our stay a once in a lifetime experience. We did the fine dining, (Dinner on Wheels) 6 course dinner in a railway carriage and every course was delicious and unique. We also did the Tea Plucking and Tea Tasting experience the next morning and it was superb, I think it was a highlight of our entire time in Sri Lanka. To see how hard the women who pluck tea work was a very eye opening experience. And the Tea Tasting was very informative. We even managed to experience High Tea before we left! It was so good, we couldn’t have been happier.
