This hotel is a landmark in Hong Kong and considered the oldest hotel, the original building being building 1928. This contracted room type is in the Original Building, which offers a classical feel with its high ceilings and rich decor and offers view on streets of Middle, Nathan and Hankow Roads. The lobby lounge is popular for the traditional afternoon tea and had a open plan, while the bar offers privacy.

The lobby is large in size with impressive white marble flooring and walls, which makes the hotel have a colonial feel. The lively lobby lounge is integrated with the lobby and there are also some other exclusive shops available.
