What are your breakfast options?

Regarding breakfast, the Empress Room offers breakfast daily from 7:00 am to 11:00 am with an a la carte menu and currently an express breakfast to go for $10 which includes choice of coffee or tea, one piece of fresh fruit and choice of three mini muffins, Danishes or croissants.

Other breakfast options include:

Milestone’s – Across the street. Hours of operation: Monday – Friday opens at 11:00 am, Saturday at 10:00 am, Sunday at 9:00am and closes at 10:00 pm on Sunday – Thursday and 11:00 pm Friday - Saturday.

Sam’s Deli – Hours of operation: Monday – Saturday from 7:30 am – 8:00 pm and Sunday from 8:30 am – 8:00 pm.

Rebar (vegetarian) – Located at Bastion Square. Hours of operation: opens daily at 8:30 am and closes at 9:00 pm except on Sundays at 3:30 pm.

Blackfish Café – Hours of operation: open from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm daily.

Blue Fox Café - Hours of operation: Monday – Friday from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm and Saturday - Sunday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.

What transport is available to get around?

For transportation to the Victoria Airport there is either taxi service for $55 - $60 each way or there is a service called Akal Airport Shuttle that departs the Airport every 30 minutes at the rate of $21 per person and leaves the Fairmont Empress every hour at 10 minutes past the hour. We would recommend rent a vehicle if visiting beaches etc.

If you are looking for transportation to Butchart Gardens, there is a company called CVS Tours which departs just half a block from the Fairmont Empress at 811 Government St. that provides a tour to the Butchart Gardens. The departure times currently are 9:00 am and every 45 minutes until 4:00 pm. The rate for the roundtrip tour including admission is $48 plus 12% tax per person and does not have to be booked in advance. You do not have to stay with the same bus but can come back at your leisure departing the Butchart Gardens currently every 45 minutes from 9:35 am to 6:15 pm. If you where to take the regular city bus with BC Transit, you would be taking the #75 from behind our hotel on Douglas St. The cost for the city bus is $2.50 per person and would take approximately 1 hour to the gardens. The Butchart Gardens opens at 9:00 am and closes at 6:00 pm with viewing until 7:00 pm; the admission rate is $26.19 for adults.

Do you have internet?

We do offer high-speed internet wired and wireless at the Fairmont Empress for a charge of $15.62 for 24 hours. If you are a Fairmont Presidents Club member the internet is complimentary. We also have two complimentary computers located in our Upper Lobby area.

Do you provide parking?

We offer valet or self parking for guests at the same price of $30 per day with 'in and out' privileges and is valid until 4:00 pm on the day of your departure.
