Room was overpriced for location and standard. We were pleased that the initial room was quickly changed when i pointed out that the room allocated to us was not what we had booked. They tried to allocate to us a cheaper room despite booking a better room for a romantic weekend. The young guy who showed us to our room was fantastic in sorting this out for us straight away. However, the hotel was expensive and I did think the quality of the room and location would be better for the price. It stated canal views, but these could not been seen unless you were standing at the window. Front counter staff and some breakfast not very friendly either. Have stayed in Venice before and received better quality service from another hotel.

The Starhotel Splendid Suisse is situated in an excellent location; between the Rialto Bridge and the San Marco Square. The hotel was convenient, clean and comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised after spending days in several unsatisfying hotels in Rome. Rooms are small but quaint and modern. It's a great central location. Staff is helpful and nice. Breakfast is simple but fine. Would stay again.

Located 3 blocks from San Marco square and very close to the Realto Bridge. It is in the center of everything & easy to get around. The hotel is wrapping up renovations. The room was amazing for Italy. A nice size with desk, couch, flat screen TV, bathroom for 2 and more. The eating area was beautiful as was the lobby areas. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was very nice and the atmosphere was perfect. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Only had the breakfast which was good. During our stay the hotel was undergoing a refit, noisy and dusty. But the staff tried to overcome all.

This hotel is perfect for a magical stay in Venice. It's location is in the middle of everything anyone would want to see and do. Our 2 night , 3 day stay was perfect. The dining staff is very cordial, and efficient, not to mention their wonderfull serving of good food throughout the major dining periods. Our group arrived by water taxi(s) and the baggage was efficiently handled from and to the barge by staff to our rooms and back. We'd really like to return very soon.

The hotel was difficult to find. In addition the building works taking place there meant that there wasn't a bar in the hotel. THe staff were, however, quite helpful in recommending restauants etc. I also felt that the photo on the website was flattering as the hotel fronts onto a minor canal but our window looked onto a grim wall.Overall, quite expensive bearing in mind what we got.

Brand new rooms with the best of all conveniences. Perfect location near St. Marks but quiet. Computer friendly. The dining room is still not renovated, but you can breakfast nearby

Enjoyed our two night visit. Expensive but very updated. Room over canal was an experience. Staff friendly in guiding us to a good restaurant. Location was great.

This was our favorite hotel in Italy. The room was newly decorated. We had an updated, clean bathroom. The staff at the front desk was nice, but they were often busy doing other things and we often had to wait for their attention (thus the 4 instead of a 5). The hotel was centrally located between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It was about a three block walk to either place. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends. We also felt safe walking to and from the bridge and St. Mark's Square to our hotel until very late at night.

"Promoted as a 4 star hotel, we were quite disapointed. The rooms as well as the entire facility is in need of new carpeting, fixtures, and renovation.When I booked the room, it stated that internet service was available as well as a safe in the room. Neither was availableThe hotel was a little difficult to find at first, but after being there for a few hours, we found it to be a fabulous location. Great for restaurants and shopping.The staff was however very friendly and accomodating.The breakfast was outstanding."

"Our room did not have working airconditioning and the vents were very dirty since it wasn't one of the ""updated"" ones. The front desk said they would move us to a better one but never did. The standard rooms are substandard. You have to book a superior to get a renovated room. The double bed was two singles pushed together. Even with booking a superior room, you'll have to deal with the dirty looking foyer. Breakfast was included and was decent, but nothing great. I would look elsewere for a better deal around the same location - we were halfway between Pointe bridge and St. Mark's square."
