We stayed in a Harbour view room and could not find fault with anything, simply first class. The premium for the Harbour view room was well worth the money. The Salisbury is situated in an excellent part of Kowloon with most things within easy walking distance.

A bit dissapointed with the room view. I've book a partial harbour view but the view given really doesn't worth my stay.

Stayed 30/07/08 - 01/08/08. Excellent service by all staff in particular Jolly at service desk. All were very friendly, welcoming , helpful & very informative.Booking on line & getting a bonus fruit basket on arrival was a real treat. Price was excellent compared to travel agent quotes. Hotel came highly recommended by relatives who stayed prior. I also highly recommend it to all & give it a 10/10. Rating above I would change to excellent for all services........ Will definetly return to HK again - loved everything about it!!! & will stay at the Salisbury YMCA!!!!!!! Elly K from Sydney, Australia 6/8/08

I took a long time deciding where to stay in Hong Kong weighing up the pros and cons. In all when i stayed here i was very happy. I decided to go for the harbor view room for a few pounds more and it was very much worth it. The hotel is used by public for its facilities and this may annoy some but it has a fantastic location. Next door to all the very expensive hotels at a much lower cost. The lower costing means it is very average in standard but more than adequate for a short stay. I found the room size plenty big enough for 1 but a couple or those wanting more space may find it cosy but this is quite common across HK. Breakfast was a selection of american hot buffet, continental and Asian and was adequate enough for the average traveller. I would stay here again.

Hotel is well located. Services are what you would expect of a YMCA, it is not luxury accommodation and fairly basic. We had a haorborview room which was small, with a limited haobour view. Good location though for exploring main Hong Kong attractions.

Rooms were small with not much of a view. Location though was good and close to MTR. Nevertheless the stay was good.

Very clean, pleasant hotel in a super-central location. It's not 5-star luxury like it's next door neighbour (the Peninsular) but it is nice and incredibly good value. Highly recommended.

the Salisbury YMCA is just the best place to stay in Kowloon. It is close to the Star Ferry terminal and latge shopping district and right next door to The Peninsula Hotel. Rooms have water views and allow you to watch the light display over Hong Kong Harbour nightly. There is a very reasonable cafe on ther ground floor. We have stayed twice there and recommend everything about it.

Fantastic ally convenient location, but had a city view family suite, which meant a view of tall office blocks in front of mine, a harbour view would have ben far nicer and worth a little extra.

great location, excellent room, restaurants were not 5 star decor but fairly priced and good food range and quality. Service was excellent particularly on arrival which I expected to be difficult as I had left my booking confirmation at home. It presented no problems and I was made to feel really welcome. Being next to the Peninsular Hotel and close to the Star Ferry meant it is one of the best locations in Kowloon.

Perfect location for Kowloon and the proximity to Star Ferry for HK Island. Pricing was good but I did book and get an internet special. When I've looked at the pricing before I've thought it was a bit on the pricey side, so I'd only book again given an internet special. Room size was very good and were nothing like what you'd think a YMCA room would be like. It was definitely good value and a great location.
