The hotel was very nice. The restaurant on the lobby level has wonderful food. The Rendezvous Hotel Auckland is within walking distance to downtown and the pier. If you are traveling to the airport, use the shuttle service instead of a cab!

Very good service from the front desk to the doorman. Not much character to set it apart; could have been a hotel anywhere in the world. Our room was of good size but the decor is in need of a bit of updating.

I guess you could say we're regulars at the Rendezvous, and there's a number of reasons why we keep coming back... a great place to go and relax, fantastic food, great service, the list goes on...

We were very impressed with the gym and work out areas. Hotel room very nice, but location a bit noisy. I would request a room not overlooking the police station, but otherwise a very nive hotel. Restraunt was good but not exceptional

I was pleased to see the standard had improved since my last visit in April. The room was definitely cleaner. Fresher looking and newer towels in the bathroom. Both of which i commented on in my last review. Also that the mezzanine floor was being upgraded

| From the carpark it is very unclear how to get into the hotel. Should also be free for those already paying $160+ per night.
Shower temperature was dangerously hot and very difficult to adjust between boiling hot and freezing cold.
What size are the beds?
Double at best. I would expect king or super king for a hotel of this quality and price range. |

Great hotel. Lovely big rooms, nice roomy bathrooms and the Plaza Club was worth the cost of an upgrade. Recommended.

Our latest stay at the Rendezvous Hotel Auckland confirmed previous consistently good experiences. The staff are suberbly helpful. We booked a basic suite and were upgraged to a superior suite, which included free valet parking - ideal for waht we needed as we came and went a number of times over the weekend. The hotel has a 5 star feel about it at 4 star prices. It is situated at the top end of Queens St so not ideal for those who want to be near the waterfront - however the location suited us.

We have stayed here before, when it was the Ritz-Carlton. Decor and facilities have become a bit tired since then. Beds were a bit soft for our liking. Although we had booked for 3 adults (mum dad and teenager) we had to ask for extra towels and crockery/glassware. We did not eat in the restaurant. Location is fantastic, the best place to stay if you are going to a show at the Aotea Centre. City centre parking at $10 a day is a bonus. Very good value overall and we will stay there again despite the niggles.

The check in time of 3pm was a bit late. It took about 15 minutes to check in. There didn't seem to be enough staff on Reception. When it was time to check out it took 20 minutes. There was a lot of people who were annoyed.
