The La Plage Resort is located on a beach that faces the island of Isola Bella (not to be confused with the island in Lago Maggiore), which is a nature reserve. The nearby city of Taormina is ancient, with Greek and Roman ruins, old churches and buildings, and modern shops and restaurants. Trains run frequently to Taormina on the Messina-Catania line. The city is served by an airport in Catania, an hour’s drive away, and most hotels offer limousine service. For those with cars, Taormina is on the A18 motorway, and the La Plage Resort has a car park (fee charged).

The La Plage Resort has 14 guestrooms and 45 separate bungalows. The bungalows are located on the beach. All the guest rooms and bungalows have private bathrooms with a shower and a tub, a bidet, and complimentary toiletries and bathrobes. All rooms have a television, a telephone and a minibar.

The La Plage Resort has a fitness area which is open seasonally, from May to October. The spa is open every day from 10:00 until 22:00. Children under age of 14 cannot use the spa facilities.
