The Knights Inn in Mount Airy, NC was comfortable. The clerk at the front desk was very amiable and was able to suggest several local restaurants. Our room had either brand new carpet or the hotel staff cleans exceptionally well. We didn't have any brown discoloration on the bottoms of our white socks...impressive! We made use of the hotel-provided iron and board. The ironing board's collapsible legs got stuck once we extended them and stuck in that position. Small inconvenience. The room's air conditioner worked great, ran quietly, and there was no musty odor. The biggest downside to our room is that the bathroom/vaniuty area is s-m-a-l-l! For our short stay ( 1 day) it was satisfactory but for more than 1 person to use for more than a day or 2 would seem to be a little crunched.

Clean room, convenient microwave and fridge. No water pressure, family fight in parking lot, coffee empty in morning. It was clean and the people were very nice.

My sister and her baby stayed at this hotel and the carpet smelled bad the room was not sanitized like it should have been hair everywhere and bed had stains all over it , not recemended for anyone furniture was look like it was falling apart. staff was very rude.

The carpet was wet and smelled, there was a Domino's Cinnistix box behind the dresser. Dataport is dialup, Don't recommend this to anyone!

It was convenient to my destination and all the basic services worked. The place is an 70+ year old relic that needs to be replaced. The place was overpriced for what I bid and was without a doubt the cheapest, most run-down dump I have ever stayed in.

This hotel is awful. The drains are backed up so the shower floors are covered with dirt, grime, other people's hair, and other things, I didn't care to find out what. The wood on the furniture it coming off so it's scotch taped back on. We asked what's good for home cooking around the hotel and the answer was 'Goobers", why? 'because they have a bar'. The place was swarming with bees, and we were told it's because were were in the mountains, well there were carpenter bees, they were eating the building. There is also a no refund after 15 minute rule, because this is the choice hotel for prostitutes to bring their Johns. yeah, it's disgusting, and not worth your money, time, or the headaches it causes.

It was clean. Dark. Very practical place to stay. Clean and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of places to eat close to the hotel. Easy access to the main road.

It was ok. The paint was chipping in the tub, therefore we did not use it and some of the wall was rotten around tub. It was further away than I had expected. But that was my fault since I'm not real familiar with the area. We travel I-77 and try to stay close to the interstate. Again like I said that was my fault. The hotel was clean, but a little run down.

Clean. It was an old hotel that has been updated but still looked old. This hotel was not what I was accustomed. It would be rated by me as a half star hotel.

It was clean. The room was hot when we arrived. The furniture was old and kind of shabby. The place was clean but the furniture was kind of shabby. The bed was comfortable, but the place needs a decor update!

Good location and free breakfast. I've never stayed in a 1 Star hotel before - so it was a little of a let-down. Good location - but the rooms were definitely a 1 star quality. The employees were great! The free breakfast was nice also.

Refunded the room. Dirty, beat-up room, cock roaches, and smoking (shown as non-smoking). Hotel staff was friendly, but room was awful (see above). Manager was good enough to provide us with a full refund. We left hotel, in part because my wife wouldn't sleep there due to the bugs and stayed at a Quality inn for less money! This was a bad experience.

Clean, neat and friendly service. Found nothing wrong on our visit. This hotel was easy to find. The staff was courteous and provided what I needed (like extra towels and wash clothes). I enjoyed our stay. You rating as a one star hotel seemed a little low.

The location was excellent, the staff was helpful. I was very pleased with the hotel and staff. It was clean and pleasant. The location met my needs for all areas of satisfaction.
