King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel

The full-service landmark hotel is home to the world-famous annual Ironman Triathlon. The newly renovated guestroom design is drawn from Big Island themes: lava, native flora, and the intricate detail of the Hawaiian tattoo. The carpet represents the organic flow of the lava fields. The tile is the soft white and beige of the coral sand. The upholstery is based on the red and brown of the famous local coffee and the green of the accent colors comes from the many leafy shades of the fern forest. Brand new bedding has been added to each new room, and solid wood furniture is chiseled in bold a Polynesian tattoo motif. Bathroom upgrades include new tubs, toilets, showers and shiny fixtures, plus luxurious Bath & Body Works products and hotel basics like new hair dryers, irons and ironing boards. Each room features a new flat screen TV, complimentary Kona coffee and coffee makers, and complimentary wireless Internet.
