It was a perfect location in SOMA and all my friends said nothing but good things about it. From check-in to check-out, it couldn't have been better.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were fantastic! Nothing I didn't like. I will definitely stay at this hotel again! The rooms are very spacious and clean with awesome views. All staff were courteous and helpful.

Excellent Hotel to stay at - everything in walking distance from this hotel - service great - room fantastic - food a little expensive but outside the hotel heaps of variety to choose from and all in close walking distance

The hotel is fantastic. It is upscale business with a casual feel. We had everything we wanted and needed, but at a price. The staff was very obliging and helpful. They almost knew us by name and always asked if they could do more. The hotel is large and accomodating. There are not that many restaraunts or clubs/bars within the hotel block, so be prepared to walk or drive. The location is in downtown, close to Chinatown and almost directly across from the Metreon. The area around the hotel at night is slightly shady, but the hotel was very safe. The parking in San Francisco and around the hotel is insane. Be prepared to pay up to $60 for parking a night here, and $5-$20 around the city. It was expensive but the valet parking at the hotel was exceedingly convenient. The rooms are comfortable and modern, and the beds will feel like heaven after a long day in the city. There are a few open air balconies that give a good break for smokers. The view from some points in the hotel are slightly obscured by the surrounding buildings, and the bay was invisible from our room. Overall the hotel was great.

Wonderful hotel. Great value for the money. Had a corner room on the 16th floor with a great view of the city. The bed was the most comfortable EVER. Beautiful lobby with helpful staff. The spa was lovely. I had the deep tissue massage, my sister had the wellness treatment. My massuese walked the fine line between pain and pressure. Didn't get to use the pool but it was very nice and clean looking. Definitely the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at.

This is a great homebase for a stay in San Francisco. It's a couple of blocks from Union Square. The beds were fantastic. And considering it's in downtown San Fran, the price was good.

Great concierge. Lack of free amenities lack of free WIFI. Lovely lobby, somewhat out of the way location.Hotel looking for every way to milk money out of guests, eg., lack of free WIFI, lack of amenities.

The Hotel was beautiful only a couple of months old. Convenient for shopping one block away for Bloomingdales and Norstroms Dept. stores. Close to movie theater. Easy to get to off the freeeway. Beautiful views of San Francisco and Ocean. Small pool. Nice out door area near pool. Close to restaurants in immediate area. Big screen TV in the room. Great value for the money.

Great service all the way around! The hospitality room was worth the extra fee. Can't say enough good things about the hotel. I will stay there again on the next trip. Only negative was the $50 fee per night for parking.

Modern and clean. It was my second time to stay in this hotel. I had a good experience both times. I liked the restaurant from the wait staff to the excellent meals.

Just got back from a long weekend in San Francisco and we were so happy with our hotel choice. We'd gone back and forth between the boutique style hotels versus staying somewhere newer/bigger. We decided with San Fran being such a beautiful city that being in a taller hotel would give us a chance to have a great view...and what a view we had! The room and the bathroom had a wall of windows that looked out over the city. So gorgeous! The bed was SO comfortable, the room was a nice size and the bathroom was fantastic (no bathtub, but that wasn't a concern for us). Parking at the hotel can be costly, so we just parked in the parking garage next door (which was half the price). We were so happy with the service, location, and overall quality of the hotel. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

This hotel has a beautiful view of San Francisco. The rooms are spacious. The rooms have more amenities than most including a HDTV. The location is next to the convention center. Shopping, restaurants, and public transportation are nearby. The staff is first class. I will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable room, walking distance to shopping but not in a central location - got the feeling of being just outside where things were happening. Fee for internet was $15/day - which tells me they expect business travelers, not vacationers. So, I'd recommend it if you're able to stay there on the company's dime. Not worth it if you're visiting San Francisco with the family.

Too frustrated to comment... For starters, when we arrived they said that the only way to get a King Bed was to pay $40 a more per night and upgrade our room. We explained that we did not have the money to do so and that we were there on our 1 year anniversary, but that did not help. After asking for a manager, we were offered to wait an hour and have a king bed in the standard room available. WHY WAS THAT NOT OFFERED ORIGINALLY?The room we were given was on the 6th floor, next to the pool and club. NOISY and smelled like chlorine. We had an amazing view of a sign picturing hawaii saying "You could be here," way to rub it in... The sirens going by every 30 minutes were great also. Thank you for putting us on the street... I guess we should have expected the sirens being that the hotel is 1 block away from 6th street, a [*] heaven. We called for service 5 times in the 2 days that we were there. Each time had to wait at least 45 minutes, which was great when we had things to do. Also, for $28/person, they should have an omelet station at their "world class" buffet. When we complained about everything listed (and more) upon checkout, the lady seemed like she cared and told us that she would make it up to us if we ever came back. We're not stupid enough to find out.I will add that the clubhouse and bellman both had friendly employees. Everyone else there should be forced out onto 6th street.

Checkin, bellman and valet staff was super helpful! Spa was dirty, under construction, and level of service was not up to level of same $ spas. Everything was 4 star but the spa. Staff was great but helpfulness of spa staff poor, massage technician were great, but quality of spa amenities poor, shower wiped down but hair on drain not removed, no single combs, brushes on plate full of hair, shoes & robe too small, when pool/spa were under construction should not charge full price.
