train station was just a few steps from the front entrance which made it easy to get around Sydney while not being immersed in the constant hustle & bustle of the city easy to get around Sydney.

I stayed in this hotel in early Januaary, 2009. What a great view from the harbour view rooms. The rooms were large and nicely furnished. The staff was polite, warm, and helpful. The buffet breakie costs extra but it is terrific and I ate too much every day. Of course King's Cross has some questonable areas, but there are some lovely spots in Pott's Point, interesting older buildings, little cafes, interesting people, and the train made other areas easy to get to.

I was impressed with the quality of the rooms and the way the staff was ready to help at a moment's notice. If you can, book a harbor view room--especially nice! Convenient to King's Cross station. Easy to get around. Restaurant food wasn't anything special.

The holiday inn potts point has a great location for travelers that use public transportation. The hotel is located right next to the train station making it very easy to get around Sydney. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Its so close to the city and the train station at the hotel doorstep. Because it is located in a busy area, so it is a bit difficult to find a parking space. he room likes a bit old.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Stayed 2 nights after a 14 night cruise. Hotel staff were excellent and very helpful. We wanted to make reservations for a show and asked the the front desk person and they called and made all the arrangements for us. The room was large and well decorated. The location is a little bit from the harbor but we found it so enjoyable to just walk as Sydney is such a beautiful and amazing city. I would suggest a room not facing the street as we did due to the number of bars in the area. The folks in Sydney take there partying seriously so if you are there on a Friday or Saturday night a room off the street would be helpful plus you will have a city view. Right next to the hotel is the entrance for the metro and it is relatively cheap. We walked to the Opera House via the Botanical Gardens and enjoyed every minute of it. We highly recommend this hotel

The hotel was very reasonably priced and was located right next to the city subway at the King's Cross location. Very friendly and helpful staff - would definitley stay again! It was a breeze to get to from the airport via the subway (trains)!

Rooms were very nice and personnel were great. Toilet quit working, so we were moved to another room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was easy to get to from the airport, and easy to get from to the attractions we visited. I liked the comforts of the room.

I booked a 6 night stay with this hotel through a online website. When I had to cancel the business trip I did so 2 weeks in advance and was still charged for the full stay. This is something no other hotel anywhere else in the world has done to me before

The bed and the bathroom. None. Very nice, high quality hotel, new and well located in the heart of the city.

This hotel was very nice. The room was comfortable, clean and slept 3 very nicely. Beautiful view of downtown Sydney. The best part was the location which was literally next door to the Kings Cross Subway station. We were able to explore every part of Sydney conveniently, economically and in the rain from this one point. Staff was fabulous and accomodating, even supplying guests with umbrellas and convertors for laptops and appliances.

The hotel atmosphere was very warm & friendly. Checking in was very quick & the harbour views of the city were very nice. I would definetly come back to this location

Wonderful location in the Culinary district! Partially enclosed shower. The staff was very helpful in orienting me to Sydney, as well as giving restaurant recommendations. The in-room dining was speedy but over-priced, especially because it wasn't that great. Perfect location for walking throughout Sydney; great views of all city icons! I'd recommend anyone to stay here!

Great views of the harbor from the Harbor View rooms. Bar staff was not very attentive, had to flag them down. This was a great hotel for our stay from Christmas through New Year's Day. The price was excellent, views were fantastic, and entrance to Kings Cross Station is literally right outside the hotel. While many have remarked about its proximity to Darlinghurst Street and its adult-oriented nature, there was no time where it felt dangerous or seedy during our stay. We had a great time and the front desk helped us immensely with seeing the sights in and around Sydney.

Rooms and bathroom were very big and clean. In bad location and staff didn't help with very heavy luggage. Staff did not help with very heavy luggage despite I was trying to handle a stroller and my 2 year old toddler. Located in a bad area. Far from public transportation.

The manager was especially helpful and congenial. The location is wonderful but the traveler perhaps needs to be open minded regarding the nearby adult entertainment industry. It was a bit scary at night but I felt safe and was not approached; there are just a few seedy type people hanging about on the next street over, but there are internet cafe's, mini-marts and a grocery store there too. Lots of young people staying at the nearby backpacker apartments.

Location to transportation/helpful staff. The Holiday Inn at Potts Point-Sydney is: 1. Represented by welcoming, helpful and courteous staff at all levels of responsibility. 2. The view of the city from our clean and spacious room was wonderful. 3. Located near transportation sources, so our visit to Sydney was enhanced. 4. Parking garage provided security for our vehicle.
