I am a seasoned traveller and have lived in Canada, USA, china, whole of Asia, Middle East and now Africa but let me tell you I had the worst experience in this hotel. For me hotels are just a place to put your stuff in..Even then I could not justify myself staying in this hotel: First of all : I had booked double room and I was assigned a room that was so small that even a maximum security prison room would look good and to top it ..It had a window facing a dirty wall. When I tried to reason with the person on the reception :this is what he told me “WE GIVE ROOMS WITH A STREET VIEW TO AGENTS and when you book on via INTERNET..We gave them inside facing rooms. Well I could not find this information on the booking website..Maybe you can, otherwise be ready for this. Anyways I told him that I would like to talk to the manager who was sitting inside...guy went inside and after a lengthy talk, came outside and asked the porter to take our bags to some other room. Ok I admit this room was better but guess what happened next? I got a call after 4-5 min’s from the reception and this guy on other side told me that “it is an upgrade and I would have to pay extra 150 rands p day” holly..I lost it then and told him” I don’t remember asking for any upgrade but all I asked for was a decent room. In the end Yes, he apologised but DO YOU SERIOUSLY WANT TO GO THORUGH ALL THIS ON YOUR HOLIDAY? 2)Of all the days I stayed there I noticed that it is normally used to get bulk bookings from schools and other organisations...it’s not bad but something you might consider if you want “peaceful environment and do not want queuing for breakfast” and another thing...one day I said staff members arguing in front of customers. 3) Parking is paid...something you have to keep in mind and they will charge 300 rands extra as security, oh! Yes One day I asked for a universal power adaptor. And to my amazement I was told that I would have to provide security of 200 rands..hahaha man unbelievable. Please do not consider this to be a bad thing, I have written this so that you are aware of this hotel policy. I feel hotel has full right to do that but in my experiences of staying in at least 100’s of hotels..this has never happened where if you ask for something...you need to provide security. 4) 3 days out of 6..I found hairs and other stuff on my bed..hence I concluded that housekeeping was not top notch. 5)Location wise..it is 60% good..I used to feel comfortable during the day time but never during the night time. Or the evening time..and it is far from waterfront..which is the main attraction....Next time I would prefer living close to it. Now ppl I have shared my experiencies...and they r my point of view..I am writing this because no else did it before me...and according to MY hotel standards I would give this hotel 2 stars only.

Perfect service. Fine breakfast. Clean and nice rooms. but they r not like the pics. internet is a bit expensive.

The Hotel was clean and tidy. The breakfast very good with lovely staff..The rooms, nice as they were, were noisey with staff bounding around from the early hours.. I don't doubt this was due to the luck of the draw!
