I am a Platinum Rewards Member. I have been staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites at 3400 Airport RD Boca Raton Florida 33431 for over Four Months. I was getting a special long term rate of $59.00 a night. This Hotel was in need of total Restoration and I am surprised Marriot lets them get away with not properly updating the Hotel. But I was getting a good price and put up with it. On December 18th the hotel told me because of the Season there would be a price increase. After negotiating with one of the Managers after I said if the rate could not be brought down to a more reasonable level for January I would start to look elsewhere for a new Hotel. The Manager then verbally told me she would let me have the room for $79.00 starting in January if I committed to more months. I agreed I would even sign a contract to commit to that time frame if needed. For Christmas I gave her and her Staff an $80.00 Fancy Candy Basket. At first she seemed happy. But he is where things started to go terribly wrong. One of the Girls at the front desk called my room and angrily said that I owed them another $44.00 for my Bill. I had that same day used my Marriott Rewards to get another Free day so I said that does not make any sense. The Hotel Manager said she would get back to me. She did not get back to me until the next day. When she called me back she also sounded angry and said my rate will be going up to $150.00 and that she wanted the $44.00 right now! I said to her that you told me I could stay for January for the $79.00 per day rate. She then lied to me and said she never said that. I said then how did I get the $79.00 price? She then said that was the Coupon rate and that is not available anymore. I said it is the day before New Years and to find another Hotel at this late date that is reasonably priced for my extended stay will be almost next to impossible. She then said the $150.00 is the rate and will be checking out today or Tomorrow? I think now that she wanted Cash and got angry that I only got her and her Staff the Candy Basket. The Fairfield in is not a full service hotel and do not even help you take your Suite Cases etc up to your room. You are pretty much left on your own. I had ants on my bathroom sink for over a month even after calling the front desk every three or four days. Also had a flood from a leaking wall that caused me to have to change rooms. I did not ask for any rebate etc from this. Even got sick eight times because the free Continental breakfast went bad many times. I had told them about it and never even got a sorry that happened. I said to the Manger that I was sorry you did not like the Candy Basket, but this was not a good reason to break your promise to me. I then called the Marriott Rewards and customer relations and asked them to help me. While I was on the call to Marriott customer relations the Hotel Manager called me. I said I was on the phone with Marriott customer relations and could I please call her back when I finish the call with them. Her response was that if I did not pay the $44.00 in 15 minutes she was going to call the Police. I then had to tell Marriott customer relations Representative I had to go now and pay them the $44.00 because the Manager Threatened to call the police. I then paid the Manager the $44.00. I then called back Marriott customer relations and explained in detail what happened. The Marriott customer relations person seemed to want to help me and said she would contact that Manager that she told me was always unavailable when she had put me on hold to call the Hotel. This Marriott customer relations person never called me back as promised. I found another Hotel to stay at the next day after spending all Morning and part of the early afternoon searching for one. The Hotel seemed to then give me a break and said I could check out at 2:00 PM. I picked up the Carts to put all my Suite cases and other belongings on at 1:20 PM. I explained to the Hotel that it was hard to find another Hotel just before New Years and that I will try my best to be out at 2:00 PM. I have a full Size Computer and other things with me that I had to make sure were packed properly so they would not get damaged in the Move to the New Hotel. I got a call from the Hotel at 2:05 PM and I told them I am doing my best to pack my things and be out of the Hotel very soon. I thought that was the end of it. But I was wrong at 2:16 PM I got a knock on my door. They had called the Police on me! I have a bad ankle with eight screws in it that the Hotel was aware of and it takes me a little longer to pack my things because I have to go slower and carefully so I do not fall and hurt myself. The Police Officer stood by me the whole time of my Move. He said the Hotel said it was now on their time and want me out now. I rushed and got my Stuff out as quick as I could.

The staff were so very nice--midnight staff and daytime staff also The carpet in the room had a lot of unremovable stains on it --but I don't know if it was actually as dirty as the stains made it appear. I have already recommended this to my bosses. It is right on the highway and the rooms on that side of the building would be very noisy, but the rooms on the back side of the building are rather close to a private airport, which has only a few planes, and they are not too loud. Double bed rooms are on the airport side, and king rooms are on the noisy highway side. Also, there are no places to eat within walking distance. The noise and lack of restaurants are the only things that are against it. It was a nice place to stay and economical.

Location, friendly & courteous staff. No food available (outside breakfast) or even small sundry shop, no in room fridge, right off highway- noise. Good for business travel, decent breakfast, no room amenities, nice pool area.

Great continental breakfast included, bottled water and fruit at the front desk, great staff! No hooks to hang toiletry bag. Excellent value, convenient location, responsive staff, perfect for business travelers. Very clean and provides the little extras not expected at the reasonable price point.

Very friendly staff. Broke air conditioner but fixed very quickly. I was very impressed with the friendliness of all staff at this hotel. They were extremely helpful and courteous.

Nice dark curtains slept till noon. Nothing. A little high price compared to other areas. However for that area it seemed to be a good rate.
