It was very clean and quiet a great to place to stay, especially with it being right off the interstate

Clean, newer hotel. Free breakfast with a few hot items. Waffle maker not working properly.

This is a very nice hotel. The price was very competitive. Another hotel across the street offered the same amenitites but charged about $* more; and the rooms were smaller. The room that we were in had two queen beds and a sofa bed. The location is somewhat remote, but we like it that way. You can be in the middle of town in less than 15 minutes. There is a great movie theater right across the street. Other activities are fairly close by. The pool, hot tub and sauna were nice and clean. Our kids (11, 8, 3) LOVED the pool!! The only complaints that I have are: - pool towels were in short supply - front desk people were not real knowledgeable, but tried to help - the free breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:00am but was gone by 8:15am and not replenished (that was Saturday morning; Sunday morning was much better!!) We will definitely stay there again!!

I was attending a wedding in Canyon for the weekend. This hotel was in the perfect spot...the south side of Amarillo, less than 10 miles from Canyon. It was quiet and easily accessible from the interstate. The only complaint that I had was the breakfast. The sitting area was entirely too small for the hotel, and the first day I stayed, there was little food left thirty minutes before breakfast was supposed to end.

Big suites, nice comfortable bed and good breakfast options. Issues with the front desk clerk, took me longer than I would have wanted to get to the room, the air conditioning blows up the curtains.

Rooms clean, we got adjoining rooms without requesting them, front desk people super. I loved the note in the bathroom which listed the prices for everything from a washcloth to the coffee maker if we wanted to take them with us. OK, we get the message. We were passing through. Location was on an interstate exit where it is still early days developing hotels and restaurants, so it feels a smidgeon lonely out there. View was of a vacant lot behind a warehouse... but the price was right. Contrast this to the other Comfort Suites in Amarillo, where there must be 20 well known chain restaurants within a half mile and tons of activity. In fact, we ended up going over to that area to eat. So if you are passing through I'd recommend the other location for convenience and security. I can't however address whether the other location was clean and friendly, since we did not stay there, or whether price reflects better location.

The room was nice, comfortable bed, sleeper sofa for our 16 yr old. Ethernet cord for my laptop was nice and fast, Two sinks (in and out of the restroom) were a good thing. Dining area a little small and got a little crowded at 8:30am.

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful with giving us directions to get around to the places we were planning to visit in Amarillo. The breakfast served was nice and we enjoyed making our own waffles with their cool waffle maker:-)We enjoyed the heated pool, but were very disappointed to find that the hot tub and sauna had been out of commission since Oct/06. I don't forsee them fixing this problem anytime soon since it's been broken for 4 months at this time. "

The friendliness at this hotel was incredible. And the place is clean. And the hot tub hit the spot after I checked in so bring a bathing suit. Only complaint was the free continental breakfast. Not terrible but room for improvement. Great place Right off the highway, plenty of places to eat and gas up right nearby.

The hot tub still does not work. Was looking forward to a nice soak in hot tub after long day at work. Front desk clerk didn't know how to transfer incoming calls so he told my family that the phones were broken.

The Comfort Suites in Amarillo was really nice. We didn't arrive until late or I should say early morning as we had driven 6 hours and had started out late. We didn't know the exact location and had to call twice for directions. The staff was just great. Even nicer! Then we made it into our room (small suite) and was pleasantly surprised at how roomy and comfortable it was. The 3 of us girls myself and two teenagers slept well. It was an easy drive back onto the freeway going in the direction we needed so all around it was a great stay.

Noticed several external doors were closed. Could not tell for how long. But this became a nusance since we had to walk twice as far to get to our room through the Lobby. Noticed that the jacuzzi was out of order and had been out of order since October. This indicates that repairs are certainly not made in a timely manner at this location. Staff was friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was excellent.

This is a very comfortable room for a longer stay. We enjoyed the luxury of having a place to put on make up apart from the bathroom. The room was comfortable and large enough for 2 people to sit and talk (We did have a short couch.) as well as sleep. It was on a major highway that went straight into Amarillo -- and we got to the Convention Center much sooner that those who had to encounter city streets. The only eating availabel was breakfast, which was very good...and complementary.

We checked in and went immediately to the pool area to find the hot tub was out of service and the dry sauna was not working and no manager stays on the premises to assist desk clerks that are confused as to how to turn on the sauna...but all ended well. The clerk gave us a $30.00 discount on the room and A/C worked wonderfully!!

I booked and payed for hotel online. When we got there they told us they had overbooked and we would have to find some place else. The lady at the front desk was terribly rude. She made no effort to help us or remedy their error. I was shocked. This was on Memorial Day weekend and it was hard to find a place with vacancy. I now despise this place and would suggest others stay away as well so they don't get burnt too.

My husband and I were going to the mountains and he had to get reports done the night we stayed at this hotel. The internet in the room did not work and the staff couldn't have cared less. They were rude and no help at all. The walls were so thin you could hear conversation or whatever else was going on in the next rooms. It is right on the interstate and you could hear traffic all night.
