Great location to see battlefield. Just down the street from Picketts charge. Doors did not open easily. 2 flush toilets. They have assigned parking and someone was in my spot the first night. It creates some confusion. You are right behind the diner parking lot and it can get a little loud at night. Overall, I would stay again because of the great location.

The cleaning staff does excellent work. The rooms and lobby are not connected. This is an old hotel. However all necessary amenities are included. The room was well cleaned, on a daily basis. The hotel staff was friendly.

Having read one review that was very bad, I was a little hesitant. I needn't have worried. If you are looking for an upscale resort, this isn't it. If you want a clean room with comfortable beds and friendly staff, this is it. Our room had a sink in the bathroom and another just outside the bathroom which made getting a group of people ready for the day much easier; and the shower had better water pressure than I get at home.

Great location. I appreciate them allowing small pets. That was our main reason for staying, as well as the price. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.

The location was great. The rooms were clean and everything was functional. The high-speed internet was very slow at first. The pool was out of commission. Their hot tub was great. Overall, a great place to stay.

Honestly, the hotel rooms are horrible. Staff are uninformed and mis-lead us a few times with information. You'd think since they lived in the area they'd know what and where places were...they don't. The price is one of the lowest in the area, the location is great, right across from the battle fields. But for a little more money you can get a better bed, shower and room which equals more comfort and isn't that what you want on vacation too?... You're going to spend at least 6-8 hours sleeping in that room and if the bed is horrible you'll be suffering the next day...trust me! The shower?...if you'er 4'-11" its the right height...if you're over 5'5" you'll have to bend down to get under the shower head....and the floor floods with water. GOD help you if another person in the hotel uses the shower or toilet at the same time! The bathroom toilet moved everytime it was used...the weather stripping on the outside door was loose, so after we left the room, the door remained opened....didn't realize it until we returned. Oh, and you can bring your dog....Fluffy next door barked all day and into the night until his "parents" returned. We couldn't turm up the TV loud enough to drown out Fluffy's barking...so don't even think about taking an afternoon nap or having any peace and quiet. There are several Hotels as near as this one to the battle fields, like the Quality Inn and Travel Lodge. They looked a lot nicer then this hotel when we walked by. And when we checked out...the front desk informed us that we could have saved alot more if we had called them directly rather than using Travelocity. Hmmmm .... Over all rating on this hotel is an F.

While the exterior was dated looking, the room itself was large enough and clean. The television reception was not very consistent which is peculiar because it is cable. It was ok to stay overnight but I'm not sure I'd want to stay for an extended period of time.

The stay was very comfortable and it was the same motel we stayed in 40 years ago. Outstanding for the money and the historical location. Will stay again.

I have never said a bad word about any place we have stayed However, I warn all families to stay away from this hotel. Bugs in the bed, dirty beyond words. Booked 2 nights, tried one night and couldn't get out fast enough. Staff was nice!

Clean rooms, friendly and polite staff. PLENTY OF HOT WATER! Within walking distance of many attractions in historic Gettysburg.

Location and price met the need. Rooms need some updating and work. For the price, it is clean and convenient to the attractions in Gettysburg. It is not luxury, but is nicely appointed.

This Inn is right in the middle of all the best shops and dining. You can walk everywhere. The rooms, we found to be very clean and a pleasant surprise was a covered deck area outside of all second floor rooms. It had a solid wall so that we could safely allow our dog to sit outside with us. ( Yes! They allow dogs) The breakfast was well tended and a good selection. We will recommend it to travelers looking for a good place in Gettysburg.

Our rooms were right next to one another but there was no joining door so the kids had to carry a key card to go between the rooms. That was about the only thing we didn't like The hotel was right in the middle of things. We could and did walk to many places including museums, the National Cemetery, part of the battlefield, Jennie Wades' house and several shopping areas and places to eat. Parking was okay - we had 2 spots so plenty of room for my son-in-laws big truck. I have been to Gettysburg many times but only one other time did I stay in a hotel. I took my other daughter and her family - we stayed at the Quality Inn where we had 3 beds in one room. It was right across the street from the Value Inn from this trip. Both trips were very enjoyable.

Location, clean rooms, well kept. Kind of old. Although not one of the newer mega chain motels, the staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms were older but very clean and well maintained. The grounds were also well kept. We enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect.

Front desk was extreamly nice and helpful. Made you feel welcome. Hotel is located right next to several fastfood and sit down resturants. Right accross the street from Gettysburg Battlefield visitors center. In walking distance of many attractions and stores. Still give you the small town cozy feel. Also very pet friendly. My pup enjoyed her stay as much as I did.

We enjoyed our night at the hotel and were very please with the value for what we paid. The breakfast was more than expected. The bed was comfortable. There was a hot tub, but I didn't find out about it until too late to use it. The ice machine was in a separate building, and it was raining, so a bit inconvenient. It was very close to the new Park Service Visitor Center which is a good place to start on a visit to Gettysburg. Downtown is close too.

Comfortable room and beds, elevator. Nothing. Staff wascourteous. We came in late to the hotel. The staff was very nice and very quick in getting our keys to the room.

I asked for a handicap accessible room as my husband has only one leg and it's difficult maneuerving - the room we were given had a step down after the entrance area - therefore it was hard for him to access the bathroom, since it was located on the higher level near the entrance. We felt the bedding on the bed was just thrown on, sheets were not tucked in, and the room was rather gloomy - all in all, we would not stay there again. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. This review does not reflect her.

Clean, great location, and comfortable. Room was cold; Wi-Fi did not work. Fantastic location, old hotel but very clean and a great bargain.

The hotel was in a great location. We could walk to many attractions. It was older but very clean. The room was a good size. Nothing fancy. Breakfast was continental, but well supplied. An attendant was present and it was clean. Plenty of parking. It was a little more expensive in comparison to other areas, but this was most likely due to the location.
