Good location a bit off the side from the most hectic parts of Arashiyama!

Great location for an early start to see the bamboo forest before the hoarded of tourists. Lovely places to walk nearby. Lots of space in the room.
Very far from Kyoto, absolutely nowhere to eat in the evening, room wasn’t cleaned in the three days we were there, presence of a Doberman around the hotel the first evening made it very uncomfortable. A small dog braking in the room next to us on the third evening was also very annoying. No view from the bedroom as the windows have mottled glass. My husband and I both enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was actually pretty large, and we personally really liked the location. It was quiet, and very peaceful right on the river and just a short walk to the monkey park. Great location to Monkey Park, Bamboo Forest and Arashiyama main street.

They gave small breads and croissants for breakfast and there was coffee, apple & orange juice.
I really liked the location, very close to train, bus and walking distance to bamboo forest. The rooms were comfortable, modern and clean. The stuff was outstanding, very friendly and happy to help and answer questions. Highly recommend!
