The host was responsive and accommodated an early check in. We were met at the train station and greeted before I even got the message off. The room is on the second floor which requires climbing a flight of steep stairs so it may not be suitable for all. We only had back packs so not an issue. There is a lock on the bedroom door, but no lock on the entrance to the floor. While we didn't experience any problems, I would feel more secure if there was a chain or some kind of latch on the inside of the door to the room landing. At night you'd have to lock the bedroom door, which is problematic if you need to use the bathroom across the hall. Still recommend the property.Read more

Lots of street noise and very loud train noise all night long. Too close to train racks.
Epic location right on the Main Street, we loved the place itself and being ontop of the restaurants. The train noise was pretty loud from the tracks though.
Train noise from the station that’s really close, and the room is sort of detached from the bathroom seperated by a common area that the staff use for cleaning and laundry. We didn’t like having the staff in our space while we were trying to chill on a rainy day.

Steep stair climb. The "good" rating for the facilities was a little generous , but the owners did their best with the limitations of a very old building.

Location was good for the Main Street leading to the sea. Bad from point of view 3 building away from the train station hearing trains multiple times an hour.

Narrow steps - heavy bags are a challenge but that should not take anything away from the room itself.
Location. Beds comfortable. View from balcony and shuttered bedroom window. Handy small fridge.
Train noise. Steep steps to enter. Early rubbish collection was noisy. Mould in showers but perhaps due to no sunlight or poor air circulation.
