LikedAbsolutely nothing.
DislikedNo Parking for hotel at all. Told to find metered parking. No in-room bathroom. Sink looked like it was repurposed from a prison. Shared bathroom for all guests. No security and staff leaves after working hours. We took the cancellation fee, which was more than the planned cost of the stay and went elsewhere.

LikedThe staff is the best part of the Ace Hotel. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The lobby still makes me smile with all the green plants arranged on a table. For some reason, the rooms were smaller than I remembered! But still great for a one night stay.
DislikedI think the showers in the shared bathrooms need an upgrade. Everything in them is old and dated. They were clean but very tired looking. I stayed at the Ace Hotel 10+ years ago and had a better impression of the facilities.

I tried calling from my room yesterday to say that the room is freezing. I stopped last night after dinner as well and no one was at the desk. I stopped before my meetings today at AWS headquarters and then again after meetings and before dinner. It’s so cold I’m sleeping in a sweatshirt and jeans. But I’m not sleeping because it’s still freezing. The AC unit surround let’s in a considerable amount of cold air, but I also haven’t heard any heat kick on one time and I have been in this room for hours now. I couldn’t even shower for fear I would be too cold. I also have ear plugs and couldn’t even sleep if it were actually a tolerable temperature because of my extremely loud neighbors that do not care that they have neighbors. At least the bed is very comfortable. But knowing I have a 6am flight for 8 hours is not helping the issue of not being able to sleep. The outside noise is also very loud due to the terrible attempt to seal off the surround around the AC unit. Please make sure the room isn’t almost cold enough to see your breath for your next guest or you will for sure have complaints. And fixing the window issues would help a lot as well. I’m sadly very disappointed. I chose this hotel for its eclectic nature and so I could give to a small business. I hope you take my experience in to consideration to help future guests.
