The check-in was so easy and the staff (young woman) was wonderful. As tired as we were when we arrived, her mood, attitude was very uplifting. Great guests service.
The location. The hotel was very close to the UCDavis surgery center. I had asked for an early check in due to our surgery schedule and we were able to check in between 1 and 2. I appreciated the cleanliness/newness and also the Bistro food available on property. We did not want to drive to find food.
The Bistro needs more staffing especially at the breakfast hours. The staff was doing the best they could but someone on coffe, someone on food and someone on the register would have customers served sooner. It was a long wait.

Even though the room was clean and very nicely furnished with a most comfortable bed, the most significant positive was the staff. To the person, from reception to food service staff, everyone was very welcoming and professional.

Cafe staff was great. Maids were very friendly.
The person who checked us in did not say hello or greet us in anyway. She seemed annoyed to be at work. The doors of the hotel are so LOUD. Everytime someone closed a door up and down the hallway, it sounded like they slammed the door in a rage. It was that loud! You really need to do something about this. I've never stayed anywhere where the doors closing were so disruptive of my stay.
The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. I enjoyed staying there.

Erin was superb. She greeted us with warmth, professionalism, and kindness. She checked us in and assisted with everything we needed!
The water cut off by UC Davis for about an hour
They gave us a smaller room then I had paid for & then refused to adjust the rate or give us a credit. No apology or anything.
Need to hold hotel accountable for over booking rooms.
Location is right in UC Davis complex. The pool was enjoyable and the staff was excellent.
You still have to pay an additional $25 a day for parking. And the food was like something you’d get in the middle school cafeteria.
