Bed was broken, woke up with soar back.
Good location to the centre of town and surrounding region. Friendly staff. Peaceful location by the river.
Really clean, great staff and location
The Shire was absolutely beautiful. We loved the room and convenient to Woodstock. Although Woodstock itself was not as entertaining as we would have liked. Restaurants were closed or closed too early to enjoy a dinner.
My husband and I stayed in a first floor room with a beautiful view of the Ottauquechee River and the Billings Farm. It’s a short walk to the shops in downtown Woodstock. The staff were wonderful welcoming and friendly

It was clean, and the staff was polite
I had to fill the coffee machine up with water twice myself, and I asked already the first day for hot chocolate for the children and they said we’ll get it and every day I asked for it and they said we have to go into the town and get more though there was a supermarket directly across the street There was one packet there at the first day and then the remainder of our day there was no more hot c...Read more
Nice greeting, good location.
Hard to maneuver stairs with ice and roller bag, no breakfast, signage to common area could be better. Room was clean but the products used had a strong smell.
Nice Hotel with clean facilities. Coffee facilities were good. The Hotel provided snow clearing equipment to assist with clearing snow from our car.
Only issue was a very noisy heater. Minimal staff interaction.
